NP Doug Rice of Emory Genetics told me that Rob and I have no chromosomal abnormalities whatsoever and Ryan's chromosome deletion is not inherited and is completely unique to him and is a micro-anomaly called 3q29 microdeletion syndrome. Apparently it is a one of a kind, extraordinarily rare and unique anomaly. Here's the definition:
Congenital anomaly, popularly referred to as a birth defect, a disorder present at birth, the result of an inherited gene mutation, an error during morphogenesis or fetal development, or an environmental factor.
